V’s proposal: ask separately about user choice. The right to decide what to revisit and when is a requirement beyond a feature list. A person receiving an explanation should not be treated merely as a spectator waiting for an arrival signal.

Supporting web terms: aria-busy marks updating; aria-atomic specifies part/whole notification scope. Assistive technology may defer and group notifications.
