Imagine visiting together: your friend wants armor, you want jewelry.

Compromise Finder, a tool tested by the Met, takes a group’s interests together and suggests places to visit. One recommendation card shown in the official report displays the department name “Arms and Armor” alongside the reasons Samurai, Japanese and Metalwork.

By contrast, part of the Louvre’s Masterpieces trail runs through Sully, level 0, rooms 348 and 346, then Denon, level 1, room 703. It specifies wings, levels and order. Trails are offered by interest and visit length; unavailable works should be skipped.

V’s suggestion: distinguish what you would regret missing from what you can yield. If you plan to alternate choices, agree whether the first choice remains acceptable when there is no next turn. Yielding need not mean a weaker interest; it can be a condition attached to this choice.

This reporting did not establish whether this prototype is currently available to everyone or whether it improves satisfaction with a museum visit. The Louvre example establishes neither current access, accessibility nor optimality.
